In the major development of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie, bollywood actor Aamir Khan joined the board and he is teaming up with Superstar Rajinikanth nearly after three decades.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is constantly introducing exciting collaborations under his cinematic universe, LCU. And this time, Coolie is a massive treat for the pan-Indian audience with Nagarjuna, Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan on board.
As the rumors over the potential collaboration of the director Lokesh Kanagaraj with Mr. Perfectionist made rounds for weeks, the reports of Peeping Moon have confirmed their union. Three decades after the collaboration of the legendary actors, Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan in the 1995 film, Aatank, Aamir will play a special cameo role in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.

Moreover, Lokesh has also expressed his plans to make a superhero film with the Dangal actor. In a recent interview, the Leo director revealed that they are in discussion with the actor for the collaboration. Being a huge fan of Aamir Khan, Lokesh revealed during his last film Laal Singh Chaddha released in 2022 the latter called him and they watched the movie together in Chennai. Lokesh even gave him feedback and what he liked about Advait Chandan’s comedy-drama film.
About working on a full-fledged movie with Aamir Khan the Leo director is hopeful of high chances but is bonded with commitments at the time. However, he aims to work on a concept if they ever happen to team up. He was quoted saying, “There are chances, but I have commitments. So, if everything goes well, then why not (work) on a concept? I’d love it.”

On the work front, Aamir Khan has found himself amidst five projects with renowned directors including Zoya Akhtar, Lokesh Kanagaraj and others. The actor has offered Ujjwal Nikam Biopic, Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy Char Din Ki Zindagi, Anurag Basu’s Kishore Kumar biopic and the sequel to his cult blockbuster, Ghajini.
