The versatile actor Aamir Khan, who explores unique characters in cinema, seems to be setting his track towards a biopic directed by Anurag Basu on the legendary playback singer Kishore Kumar.
The actor, who recently wrapped up shooting for the RS Prassana’s directorial Sitaare Zameen Par, is about to pitch in his next project. As per earlier reports, the actor has found himself amidst five projects with renowned directors including Zoya Akhtar, Lokesh Kanagaraj and others. Extending the list, here comes another add on with Anurag Basu.

With major projects lined up including the Ujjwal Nikam Biopic, Rajkumar Santoshi’s comedy Char Din Ki Zindagi, a superhero film by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Zoya Akhtar’s next and the sequel to his cult blockbuster, Ghajini, the actor is yet to lock his next feature film.
As per a Pinkvilla report, Aamir and Anurag have been discussing the Kishore Kumar biopic with producer Bhushan Kumar. Since the project is close to the makers, they are looking to bring it as a spectacular one with actor Aamir Khan. The actor, who is to be an admirer of the musician, loved the vision to bring the life of the legend to screens. Moreover, the way the makers handle the project has reportedly fascinated the actor.

Taking the project forward, the makers have had four to five meetings with the actor and it seems to fall in the right direction. With the rest of the projects lined up, the actor seems to have locked three projects in different timelines.
Kishore Kumar was a well-known playback singer, musician and actor. His songs are widely popular. Besides Hindi, he sang in Bengali, Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Odia and Urdu. Some of his iconic and popular songs include Ye Raatein Ye Mausam, Hum Toh Mohabbat Karega, Ae Haseeno Nazneeno, Zaroorat Hai Zaroorat Hai, Khoobsurat Haseena, and Gaata Rahe Mera Dil.
