Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par will not stream on any OTT platforms.
After a three-year break from the big screen, Aamir Khan has made a stellar return with Sitaare Zameen Par, and early box office numbers suggest his star power remains undiminished. Despite opening to relatively modest figures, the film witnessed a sharp upswing over the weekend, raking in a total of Rs 59 crore in just three days.
According to data from Sacnilk, the emotional drama opened with Rs 10 crore on Friday, June 20. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film has received a boost thanks to word-of-mouth buzz and largely positive reviews. The weekend saw an impressive rise, earning Rs 20.2 crore on Saturday and peaking with Rs 29 crore on Sunday, June 22.

“This is the first instance where a movie that opened at around Rs 10.5 crore net managed to pull off a Rs 60 crore weekend. It’s a strong positive sign for the film’s box office trajectory,” Sacnilk reported in its weekend analysis.
Produced by Aamir Khan Productions, the film also saw a steady rise in audience engagement. On Sunday, Hindi version screenings saw an average occupancy of 57.83 per cent during the afternoon, climbing to 72.31 per cent in the evening – a peak that demonstrates the film’s growing appeal – before settling at 46.97 per cent during the night shows.
Directed by RS Prasanna, the film also stars Genelia Deshmukh, Brijendra Kala, Dolly Ahluwalia, and introduces ten debutant actors who are neurodivergent. Unlike its predecessor, the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, Sitaare Zameen Par is a comedy drama.

It is the official remake of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones, and centres on a basketball coach who, after being suspended, is assigned community service coaching a team of players with disabilities as they train for a major tournament.
Aamir Khan has reportedly rejected a Rs 120 crore OTT deal from Amazon Prime Video, choosing instead to go all-in on a theatrical-only experience, a move rarely seen in today’s hybrid-release ecosystem. The film therefore will not stream on any OTT platforms. So don’t miss it in the theatres!
