Another X user said that although the first half of the film was slow, the second half makes sure you laugh and cry at the same time. Praising Aamir for his performance, he also added that remake factor doesn’t affect much for neutral audiences.

The film marks Aamir’s return to the big screen after a long time. He was last seen in the 2022 Laal Singh Chaddha alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan. After the film, a remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, failed to make a mark at the box office, Aamir took a break from films.
