Salaar Recent Update: Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas Likely To Face-off In Christmas (image:Youtube.com)
Shah Rukh Khan and Prabhas going to compete for their Christmas releases. According to a latest update, Prabhas-starrer “Salaar” which was slated to release on September 28, has been postponed for a Christmas release. Thus, Salaar is going to clash with Mr. Khan movie Dunki, which has already set the release date during Christmas.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his recent Instagram post broke the news that Salaar will arrive on Christmas and exhibitors have received a confirmation mail in this regard. He wrote: “YES, IT’S TRUE… SRK VS PRABHAS, ‘DUNKI’ VS ‘SALAAR’ THIS CHRISTMAS…” The Hombale Films, the producers of the movie, will make official announcement on Friday, September 29, he added.

As mentioned, after SRK’s Zero and Hombale Film’s KGF, this is the second time the clash is going to happen.
Salaar
As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the Salaar is getting delayed due to makers and the director Prashanth Neel is planning to reshoot some portions of the movie, and pending VFX work. “The idea is to better the product for the biggest cinematic experience. Prashanth Neel wants to outdo his previous work and when he watched the film in one go recently, he felt there was still a lot of scope of improvement,” source to Bollywood Hungama.
Besides Prabhas, “Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,’ also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu.
Dunki
Dunki, helmed by Raju Hirani is a social comedy-drama film, produced by Gauri Khan, Rajkumar Hirani, and Jyoti Deshpande. Centered on the theme of illegal migration, the stellar cast of the movie includes, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Vicky Kaushal among many others.
Mr. Khan”s latest release Jawan grossed Rs. 1000 crore worldwide and continues in theatres. Similarly, Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films” last release KGF-Chapter 2 was also a nationwide blockbuster.
