As the three-day grand celebration of the pre-wedding festivities of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani’s marriage with Radhika Merchant set to begin in Gujarat tomorrow, entire internet is abuzz with the grandiose of the event.
While the wedding ceremony will be held on July 12, the pre-wedding festivities will be kicked off tomorrow with a three-day event held in a 3,000-acre garden. The party is set in Ambani’s home state, Gujarat. The garden in which the festivities will be held is said to be the largest mango orchard in Asia with thousands of trees. It is Ambani’s animal rescue and rehabilitation centre with 2,000 rescued animals including leopards, tigers, lions, jaguars and elephants.
The three-day festivities involve a variety of activities. The first day (March 1) will be marked by “An Evening in Everland” event, with the guests wearing cocktail attire. On the second day (March 2) the programs will be held outdoors in the Ambanis” animal rescue centre in Jamnagar. The celebration will be held with the theme ‘A Walk on the Wildside’. Then the guests will head to “Mela Rouge” – a potpourri of desi activities wearing South Asian attire.
The third day (March 3) will mark two events “Tusker Trails” and ‘Hashtakshar’ people will watch the natural beauty of Jamnagar and will dress in the heritage Indian attire.
However, this time, India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani is planning to make the wedding of his youngest son Anant Ambani most expensive. During the three-day festivities, around 2,500 dishes will be served, according to a report.
It was in 2018 that India’s richest man and his wife Nita Ambani grabbed headlines by conducting one of the most expensive wedding of their daughter Isha Ambani, in which the guests attended a reception in Italy’s Lake Como and India’s Mumbai and Rajasthan, spending around Rs 7 billion. This time, it is reported with more extravaganza, the wedding is going to be one of the world’s most expensive functions, with the spending of more than 1000 crore Indian rupees.
The global invitee list includes Qatar Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, Billionaire Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, Paula Hurd, Adobe’s Shantanu Narayen and Reni Narayen, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger, among others.
In addition, Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Salman Khan will attend Anant and Radhika’s wedding. Sports stars such as Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Abhinav Bindra and many others will attend the festivities. Apart from that, many other Indian businessmen, politicians and dignitaries will also attend the function.
