Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited venture with Rajkumar Hirani ‘Dunki’ is coming on December 21. Now, the actor himself has come out and said how the name of the movie is pronounced. In an #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter), the Jawan and Pathaan actor wrote the name ‘Dunki’ is pronounced as ‘funky’ or ‘hunky’.

”It’s pronounced like Funky…Hunky….or yeah Monkey!!!,” Shah Rukh Khan wrote in an answer to an X user.

When asked about the reason behind the movie’s name, the actor said “Dunki is a way of describing an illegal journey across borders”.

Apart from Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also features Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Dharmendra, and many others. The film marks Mr Khan’s debut collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani who is known for his movies, Sanju, 3 Idiots, PK and Munna Bhai series.
