Some things never get old even when time flies, and the return of the most celebrated epics in theaters will rule the show. On the lane, comes Gladiator 2 to greet the fans after decades. The makers untied the trailer of the sequel, the epic tale of honor and vengeance yesterday, July 9.

The filmmaker Ridley Scott has brought back the epic saga with Gladiator 2, featuring a stellar cast led by Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal. The sequel of the 2000’s release, continues the story of Scott’s iconic historical epic, which won five Oscars from eleven nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Russell Crowe.

In Gladiator 2, Paul Mescal takes on the role of Lucius, the son of Lucilla (Connie Nielsen), the second daughter of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius. Now a grown man, Lucius’ story unfolds years after the original film’s events. The film will also feature Pedro Pascal as General Acacius and Denzel Washington as Macrinus.

The sequel intends to delve deeper into the world of Ancient Rome, where the vengeance and power struggles are rooted deeper. Narrating the story of the son fueled by rage and a sense of duty to restore the Empire’s glory, the struggle of Lucius to draw strength from his past to lead Rome back to its former greatness. Where he is now thrust into the brutal world of the Gladiators and the Colosseum. His home has been conquered by tyrannical emperors who now rule Rome with an iron fist.

The film is set to hit Indian theaters on November 15 and is about to greet the audience in English, Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu in 4DX and IMAX formats.
