Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2 hit the big screen on Friday, April 18, and social media have been flooded with praise for the biopic of the life of ,C Sankaran Nair, a pre-independence era icon known for haunting down the British in the court for its brutal massacre in Jalian Wala Bagh.
The movie, helmed by debutant Karan Singh Tyagi, appears to have impressed the filmgoers, given the brilliant narration of the phenomenal events surrounding the history.
Himesh, an X user, called the movie “easily the best dharma film in the last ten years.” According to the reviewer, the movie has been designed to evoke an emotion. The narrative is fast-paced, and the background score is effective. Himesh called the movie an Akshay Kumar show, noting that “Seldom do actors deliver performances that could be the talk of the town for a while.”

The user then observed that the actor was outstanding as C Sankaran Nair, the real-life hero. Referring to the other lead, Himesh said that Ananya Panday delivered an extremely credible performance, standing out in a particular courtroom interaction in the second half.
Himesh further opined that the film deserves to be watched by everyone, to understand the heroics of C Sankaran Nair taking down the terror of British reign. “Kudos to the team for bringing this untold tale to the spectacle. ” It’s A MUST-WATCH ON THE BIG SCREEN – GO FOR IT – KESARI 2 DESERVES SUCCESS!,” he wrote on X.
The user, however, pointed out that a particular subplot in the second half could have been shorter and treated better.

Another X user, Taran Adarsh called the movie “Powerful and Gripping” He lauded the director for delivering a “hard-hitting narrative” that does full justice to the character.

The use of English in select sequences, according to Adarsh might act as a barrier, restricting its reach among wider audiences. He also praised Akshay Kumar performance in the movie.
