It’s time to bring the heartwarming fantasy animation to life. Yes, Universal brings the live-action remake of How To Train Your Dragon. The first teaser trailer of the anticipated project is finally here.
Dean Deblois, the creative visionary behind DreamWorks Animation, returns as the writer and director of the live-action reimagining. The live-action How To Train Your Dragon movie is a shot-for-shot remake of the 2010-released animated film.
With impressive visuals and theme music, the teaser promises to bring life to the acclaimed animated series. The one minute fifteen second teaser primarily features the first meeting of the characters Hiccup (Mason Thames) and Toothless. It also offers a sneak peek to the rest of the cast, including a returning Gerard Butler as Hiccup’s father, Chief Stoick the Vast.

Narrating the heartwarming storyline of the creation, the official synopsis reads, “On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Thames) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Butler), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.”
“With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (Nico Parker) and the village’s quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding. In addition to Thames and Butler, the film also cast Nico Parker (Suncoast) as Astrid Hofferson, Nick Frost (Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy) as Gobber the Belch, Gabriel Howell (Night Sleeper) as Snotlout Jorgenson, Bronwyn James (Masters of the Air) as Ruffnut Thorston, Harry Trevaldwyn (Ten Percent) as Tuffnut Thorston, Julian Dennison (Deadpool 2) as Fishlegs Ingerman, and Ruth Codd (The Midnight Club) as Phlegma.
How To Train Your Dragon is a 2010 American animated fantasy film, which was made loosely based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Cressida Cowell. Receiving a massive reception from the audience, the film grossed $494.9 million at the box office and rose to be the tenth highest-grossing film of the year.
