Kangana Ranaut said she is ready to make film on Bilkis Banu case. She said she has been working on the script, studying and researching on the topic for last three years, but was unable to make the film due to refusal from top studios and OTT platforms. The remarks came after she was asked whether she will make “powerful” movie on the story of Bilkis Bano.
The X (formerly twitter) user asked the actor if she is interested in telling the story of Bilkis Bano with a powerful movie. “You can show, how Bilkis fought against the corrupt system,” added the X user in his post.

To this the actor responded that she wanted to make the movie and she have the script. Kangana Ranaut also added that “studios like Netflix, Amazon, and other studios wrote back to me that they have clear guidelines they don’t do so called politically motivated films, @JioCinema said we don’t work with Kangana because she supports BJP and Zee is going through a merger, what are my options?”

Earlier, Kangana made it to headlines by her criticism on Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal. As a response to an X user who Praised Kangana’s Tejas and said that she wondered why the film did not do well at the box office. Replying to this, Kangana said “paid negativity” on her films are increasing overwhelmingly. She blamed audience for “encouraging women beating films where they are treated like sex objects and asked to lick shoes”. The shoe licking scene was allegedly pointed at a scene from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. She said that she might shift her career in coming years.
