Mollywood’s biggest collaboration is back in the spotlight as Patriot, starring Mammootty and Mohanlal, dropped its action-packed second look poster on February 26.
The much-awaited espionage thriller, directed by Mahesh Narayanan, is set for a worldwide theatrical release on April 23, 2026.
The newly released poster showcases an intense combat sequence that has already taken the internet by storm.
In the image, Kunchacko Boban is seen driving a speeding car, while Mohanlal emerges from the sunroof, aiming a rifle at unseen enemies.

The update has thrilled fans and industry colleagues alike, marking one of the most anticipated Malayalam films of the year.
Helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, Patriot marks the reunion of Mammootty and Mohanlal after a long time, making it one of the most talked-about collaborations in Malayalam cinema.
The film also features a strong ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, and Kunchacko Boban in key roles.
Supporting actors include Rajeev Menon, Revathy, Darshana Rajendran, and Zarin Shihab.
Earlier, director Mahesh Narayanan clarified that the superstars were chosen because they perfectly suited the story. He stated that they came to the set as dedicated artists, not just as stars.
Touted as an espionage thriller, Patriot promises gripping storytelling combined with powerful performances. On the technical front, music is composed by Sushin Shyam, while cinematography is handled by Manush Nandan. The editing is led by Mahesh Narayanan along with Rahul Radhakrishnan.
With its massive star power, action-packed visuals, and strong technical backing, Patriot is shaping up to be one of the biggest Malayalam releases of 2026.
Mammootty is currently shooting for Padayaatra, directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Meanwhile, Mohanlal is filming L366 with director Tharun Moorthy. His upcoming major release is Drishyam 3, directed by Jeethu Joseph, which is set to hit theatres on April 2, 2026.
