Premalu, the Malayalam movie has entered the Rs 50 crore club on its fifth Friday. Despite the clash from other movies through put its run, the film is still luring audience into theatres. Premalu is the fifth Malayalam film to enter the 50 crore club.
Premalu has faced competition from Tovino Thomas’s Anweshippin Kandethum, and megastar Mammootty’s Bramayugam, a black and white movie, which has received a humongous applause from the audience. Mannummel Boys, a real-life inspired story a group of friends. The movie is well-received for its gripping making and story-telling.
Despite the competition from top-rated movies, Premalu with eased its way through box office records, without dropping more than 30 per cent in any week till today. Overall, the movie has grossed Rs 57 crore plus to date in India. The Telugu dubbed version of the film released yesterday and grossed over around Rs 50 lakhs. The worldwide gross of the film stands at Rs 93 crore and is expected to reach Rs 100 crores in coming days.
