The Salman Khan – Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 hits century in box-office on its second day of release and earned Rs 58 crore on day two alone, says reports. The movie was released on Sunday amidst Diwali and scored impressive collection both in the Indian box office and international.

According to trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh, the day 2 total of Tiger 3 has crossed Rs 100 crores and became the third movie to hit a century in two days of the release, in the year 2023. The two others are Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Jawan, which were released in January and September of this year respectively.

As said by Mr Adarsh the Salman Khan movie went on an overdrive on its second day in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. He analysed that the film was “underperformed” in certain circuits on its initial day but met an “extraordinary growth” on the next day and “brought the film back on track”.

According to Mr Adarsh, the Hindi version of movie bagged Rs 43 crores on Sunday and another Rs 58 crores on Monday. Meanwhile the Tamil and Telugu language versions collected Rs 1.50 crores on Sunday, Rs 1.25 crores on Monday and earned Rs 2.75 crores in total.

The Maneesh Sharma directorial has already set two records on its day of release – the action-thriller presented Salman Khan his biggest opening ever and was the highest opener on Diwali Day. The movie is sequel to Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), and is the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. YRF assured the movie would be an “incredible visual spectacle with high-octane action sequences, thrilling plot-lines, power-packed characters and musical chartbusters”.
