“Jawan is not just a film; it’s a celebration of storytelling, passion, and the vibrant spirit of our cinema, and I couldn’t be prouder of its success on Netflix,” Khan added, expressing his pride in the film”s achievements on the digital platform.
Jawan, the movie which moved the box office numbers starting from the advance booking days, achieved an impressive milestone with a staggering USD 48.75 million (Rs. 405 crore) in collections in the international box office. This cements the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer as the second-highest-grossing Bollywood film overseas, excluding China, with only his earlier release of the year, Pathaan, surpassing it by a narrow margin with a total of USD 49.50 million.
On a global scale, Jawan has eclipsed Pathaan, particularly dominating in the Indian market with a gross of Rs. 761 crore. This substantial lead contributes to Jawan”s worldwide earnings, totaling Rs. 1166 crore, outshining Pathaan”s global collections of Rs. 1047 crore.
