The poster shows Sundeep seated on a pile of gold bars and cash, nursing a wound on his hand — hinting at an intense, high-stakes storyline.
Lyca Productions shared the announcement with the caption, “Presenting the Title of #JSJ01 – #SIGMA. The quest begins.” The film, backed by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions, promises a mix of action, adventure, and comedy, centred around a treasure hunt and a heist that will take audiences on a roller-coaster ride.
In an official statement, Jason Sanjay explained the philosophy behind the title: “The title and concept capture the fearless, independent spirit of a ‘sigma’ — an outlier who follows his own path, undeterred by societal norms.”
He also expressed gratitude to Lyca Productions for trusting his vision and to the cast and crew who supported him through his debut venture.

Sigma has been filmed extensively across Chennai, Salem, Thalakona, and Thailand, with about 95% of the shoot completed. Only one song reportedly remains to be filmed before the project wraps.
The film boasts a talented ensemble cast featuring Faria Abdullah, Raju Sundaram, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sampath Raj, Kiran Konda, and Magalakshmi Sudharsanan in pivotal roles.
The film’s music is composed by Thaman S, while Krishnan Vasant handles cinematography, promising a visually striking and sonically powerful cinematic experience. The team is reportedly planning for an early summer 2026 release in both Tamil and Telugu languages.
Jason Sanjay, who studied filmmaking in Canada and the UK, has long expressed his interest in working behind the camera rather than in front of it.
