Social Media Reviews: Dileep's Bha Bha Ba A Strictly Average Commercial Flick With Plenty Of Old Movie References

Actor Dileep’s new film Bha Bha Ba — an acronym for Bhayam, Bhakthi, Bahumanam — hit the big screen on Thursday, with filmgoers divided on whether to go to the theaters or not as public outrage continues over his acquittal in a sexual assault case involving a Malayalam actress survivor.

While the boycott call goes on, reviews are pouring in on social media. A handler, Friday Matinée, called the movie a full-fledged commercial flick that entertains the audience for most of its runtime.

“Full-on energy from Dileep after a long time. Most of the references worked well. Interval sequence spaar,” the handle wrote, adding that the Mohanlal portions are also impactful and technically solid. It also appreciated the editor for the excellent work.

However, there are several negative reviews coming as well. A review by Mollywood BoxOffice observed that the movie is pure madness all around while noting that it failed to keep the audience fully engaged. Calling Bha Ba a strictly average film, the reviewer pointed out that there are plenty of old movie references, though Dileep acted superb.

“Some clicked well, while others leave no real impression,” the review opined.

CK reviews, another X handle, suggested that the movie has no logic with only madness and spoof comedy. He observed that entertainer Dileep is back. “Interval block & Lalettan’s Cameo r blast. No Heroine. Plenty of old films & Ghilli Thalapathy references r thr. The ring scenes too. Not Bad for a Watch in the Theater,” the reviewer wrote.
