The Traitors: All You Need To Know About Karan Johar's Reality Show

Amazon Prime Video announced a new a thrilling reality series called The Traitors. With Karan Johar hosting the game filled with wits and deception, the Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed thrilling reality series is here with an interesting trailer.

Thw reality show has caused chaotic drama in over 30 countries. Now it’s time for the Indian audience to enjoy their own version. With the international recipe altered with desi flavors, Amazon Prime is promising an entertaining ride.

The rule is simple: 20 players, 3 secret traitors and one simple rule: Trust no one. So, what’s the mission?  It is to sabotage and eliminate the Innocents one by one, all while keeping their identities hidden.

By day, the group completes missions to build a massive prize pot. By night, the Traitors strike in secret, “murdering” an Innocent. Each episode culminates in a tense Round Table (like Mafia) where everyone votes out a suspected Traitor. If the Innocents unmask all the Traitors, they share the prize. But if even one Traitor survives, that player walks away with it all.

It’s not about the physical strength or raw talent but a pure battle of instincts, wit, nerve, and how good one is at deception. Here the most dangerous weapon isn’t strategy; it’s trust.

Karan Johar’s show will feature Maheep Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, ⁠Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Apoorva Makhija, Lakshmi Manchu, ⁠Uorfi, Raftaar, ⁠Mukesh Chhabra, ⁠Anshula Kapoor, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, Nikita, Sahil Salathia, ⁠Jannat Zubair, ⁠Elnaaz Nourozi, ⁠Harsh Gujral, ⁠Janhvi Gaur, ⁠Purav Jha, ⁠and Jasmin Bhasin.

Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality show will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video from June 12 onwards. New episodes will drop every Thursday at 8 pm.

Notably, The Traitors is an adaptation of De Verraders, a reality show that first originated in the Netherlands and has later been adopted across 30 countries globally. Shot in a regal setting, at a palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the show is set to feature 20 celebrity contestants who stand a chance to win Rs 1 crore in prize money.
