Mumbai resident Aanvi Kamdar, a popular 26-year-old Instagram influencer known for her travel content, died after a tragic fall at Kumbhe waterfall near Maharashtra’s Raigad. While filming a reel with friends on July 16th, Aanvi slipped into a 300-foot gorge, according to reports.

Authorities launched a swift rescue operation, involving the Coast Guard and local teams. After a six-hour effort, Aanvi was recovered but succumbed to her injuries at a nearby hospital.

Local officials urged tourists to prioritize safety when exploring natural beauty. Aanvi’s passion for travel and sharing her experiences with followers is evident in her social media posts.

“As soon as we reached the spot, we realised that the girl has fallen nearly 300-350 feet. Even after reaching her, it was difficult to get her up, as she was injured and it was raining heavily. So we decided to get her out using a vertical pulley,” NDTV quoted a rescuer as saying.

Condolence messages are pouring on her Instagram handle after the news of her tragic death was broken.

“Can’t believe it. Just numb. So brilliant, so talented. I loved every moment of our chats and the biggest regret of my life will always be that I didn’t get to meet you in person. Love you. Hope you know how deeply missed and even more loved you are,” Instagram user Roxanne Chinoy wrote under one of her posts.

“Still can’t believe this… you were too young and full of life Aanvi! Hope god gives strength to your family. Om shanti,” wrote another user.
