Despite repeated reminder from authorities, people continue to dance inside metro stations, railway platforms and other public places as part of social media trends. One such instance at Mumbai railway station has led to controversy on social media.
An Instagram influencer landed in trouble recently for dancing on railway platform and posting it on her Instagram account. The individual was identified as Seema Kanojiya. The influencer was asked to issue a public apology for violating the railway norms. Ms Kanojiya took to her Instagram handle and shared the video of her apology. In the video posted, she apologised for her wrongdoing and also urged other Youtubers not to indulge in such practices and further said sorry to her viewers.
Seema also attached a written apology along with the video.

“The video that I had made at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) went viral and amassed 70-80 million views. It was unethical and an offense as I was not supposed to make such videos on public platforms. All the Youtubers and Instagram influencers should avoid making such videos and I apologize for creating inconvenience to passengers,”” she said.
The controversial video shared on social media captured the moment when she leaped onto the platform from a stationary train and then accidently colliding with two passengers in the process.
Central railway reacted to the video by posting that investigation is underway and asked people to refrain from the doing such actions. They further wrote on X, “Passengers are requested to refrain from such activities which causes disturbance to other passengers. Under Railway Act section 152 & 153 it”s a punishable offence with penalty & imprisonment up to 10 years for the charges of hurting/attempting to hurt other passengers. The above case is being investigated by RPF for further action.”
Seems @drmmumbaicr @Central_Railway has recruited these “Spirit Possessed” #Nautanki reel makers to “mop” the Platforms of Railway stations …under the #MeraStationMeraAbhiman project..
