The police probe also revealed that the 34-year-old techie had been in a legal battle over divorce and child custody with his wife’s family, purportedly leading to his emotional distress.
The police had earlier issued a summons for Nikita and her relatives in connection with Atul’s suicide, but they sought anticipatory bail.
Notably, in 2022, Nikita reportedly filed a complaint against Atul, alleging harassment over dowry. Nikita had claimed that her father suffered a stroke and died due to the dowry demand from her husband’s family, reports Mint.
