Delhi government has issued early winter break to schools from November 9th to 18th as the national capital is grappling with severe air pollution. According to report published by news agency ANI, the announcement of early winter break read, “in view of air pollution, the December winter break of all schools has been rescheduled, now to be from November 9-18”.

The condition of Delhi’s air quality has been lurking on very poor for until November 3, Friday. But for the first time this season, the quality has dropped from ‘very poor’ to ‘severe’.
Residents of Delhi complained about breathing difficulties and urged government to see to the possible curb for the dire situation. Earlier, the Supreme Court questioned the Delhi government’s scheme which is aimed at curbing vehicular pollution and called it as “all optics”.
