Reacting to the allegations of her “conspiring with the BJP against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal,” Swati Maliwal, the AAP Rajya Sabha MP said that she will fight for herself alone. Noting that her character has been questioned by the entire party, the AAP leader asked to “do character assassination as much as possible but the truth will come out when the time comes”.
Referring to the allegations by some AAP leaders including AAP Minister Atishi, Swati said the leaders who joined the party yesterday declared a 20-year-long worker as a BJP agent. Expressing her disappointment over her alleged conspiracy with the BJP, she further lamented, “No problem, I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, I will fight for myself too.”
The AAP leader Atishi accused the party”s Rajya Sabha MP of being the “face and pawn of BJP”s conspiracy” against the Delhi Chief Minister. “Ever since Arvind Kejriwal has got bail, the BJP is rattled. Due to this, the BJP hatched a conspiracy, under which Swati Maliwal was sent to Arvind Kejriwal”s house on the morning of May 13. Swati Maliwal was the face and pawn of this conspiracy,” said claimed.
Swati Maliwal had on Thursday filed a complaint against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal”s close aide, Bibhav Kumar, alleging that he physically assaulted her. However, noting a video came out on Friday, Atishi said that Swati Maliwal is seen sitting comfortably in the drawing room of the Chief Minister”s house. The video also showed her threatening the party Supremo”s aide, Bibhav Kumar, she claimed, noting that there were no injuries or assaults on Swati. She also rejected the allegations as baseless.
The AAP minister also noted Swati Maliwal threatening Bibhav Kumar in the video and said that the charges levelled against the Chief Minister”s PA is baseless. “The whole incident proves that it was a BJP conspiracy and Swati Maliwal was made its face to frame Kejriwal,” Atishi said.
