Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated in India on Monday. The central Hilal committee in Delhi has announced that the crescent moon was sighted in various parts of the country and with that the Muslims will be celebrating Eid on Monday completing the month of Ramadan with 29 fasting days.

Meanwhile, various Qazis from Kerala have announced that Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday as the Shawwal crescent moon was sighted on Sunday.

This time, Muslims in India are celebrating Eid al-Fitr after completing 29 days of Ramadan. The Eid al-Fitr celebration marks the end of a month-long period of fasting.

With the sighting of the Shawwal crescent moon, Takbeer chants will rise from the mosques. As per Islamic customs, the distribution of Fitr Zakat will be completed before the Eid prayers.

Believers, dressed in new clothes, will gather in Eidgahs and mosques for Eid prayers on Monday morning. The Eid al-Fitr celebration is also an opportunity to renew family and friendship ties and share love.
