
Hyderabad: Class 6 Girl Escapes Rape Attempt By Jumping From Moving Auto-Rickshaw
Panjeshah, Hyderabad: On Tuesday, October 14, an auto-rickshaw driver attempted to sexually abuse a Class 6 student from Panjeshah in Hyderabad. The girl escaped the rape by jumping from the moving vehicle.
The incident occurred when the girl was returning home walking. An unknown auto-rickshaw driver approached her, claiming that her father sent him to pick her up. Though the girl insisted that her father would never send anyone and that she would walk, the driver allegedly threatened her and forcibly made her sit in the auto-rickshaw.

There was another boy in the vehicle and after the driver dropped him at his home, he changed route, driving faster towards Malakpet. As the minor girl cried, the accused man threatened her, asking her to aby his instructions. The accused also allegedly asked the girl to remove her clothes, The New Indian Express reported.
After the victim jumped out of the moving vehicle, the locals nabbed the driver and took him to the Malakpet police station. The girl sustained minor injuries. The police called the girl’s family at around 5.30, and they rushed to the station. Her father usually comes to the school to pick her up, but on the day of the incident, when the father reached the school at around 4 pm, the teacher informed him that a test was being conducted and that she had already returned home.

The girl later said that she left the school early after completing her test. After facing the rape threat in the vehicle, the terrified girl managed to jump from the moving auto. The passerby intervened, and caught him. Police have arrested the accused.
