India's Foreign Minister Says US Deliberately Becoming Lonelier Power, Notes Changing World Order

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has called the US a lonelier power, noting that a radical repositioning of Washington and the rise of China are reshaping the global landscape.

Pointing out that the US is becoming deliberately lonelier, India’s foreign minister highlighted the shifting dynamics of geopolitics amid growing self-reliance among emerging and middle powers and a push to diversify partnerships and reduce risks.

Jaishankar while speaking at the 62nd Munich Security Conference, said the international order was being defined by sharp US-China competition, and underlined that the  shift in US policy and China’s ascent as the twin pillars defining the current world order.
