Mumbai Rains: Holiday For Schools, Colleges On Thursday

Since Wednesday evening, heavy rainfall has been lashing Mumbai city and adjoining areas, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the city till 8am on Thursday. In view of this, authorities have announced holiday for schools and colleges in Mumbai and its suburbs.

“In view of the Red alert in Mumbai and suburbs, issued by IMD, a holiday has been declared for all schools and colleges for tomorrow, 26th September 2024.  Mumbaikars are requested to stay indoors, until essential. Please stay safe. Dial 100 in case of any emergencies,” Mumbai Police notified on late Wednesday evening.

Indian Meteorological Department has predicted fairly widespread to widespread light/moderate rainfall very likely over Konkan and Goa during the week.
