
"Personally Emotional": Akash Anand Reacts After Removal From BSP Posts (image: facebook.com/AnandAkash4495)
Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: A day after BSP chief Mayawati sacked her nephew Akash Anand from all party posts for the second time, in a first reaction, he said that he respects Mayawati’s decision and stands by it. He also said that though the major development “personally emotional” for him, but asserted that he has taken it as a “big challenge”.
It was on Sunday, Mayawati came with the shocking announcement of removing Anand from all party posts and appointed his father Anand Kumar and Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Gautam as national coordinators in his place. She also said she would not name a successor in her lifetime.

On Monday (March 3), in a post on X in Hindi, Anand wrote: “I am a cadre of the most revered sister Ms. Mayawati ji, and under her leadership I have learnt unforgettable lessons of sacrifice, loyalty and dedication, all these are not just an idea for me, but the purpose of life. Every decision of respected Behan ji [Mayawati] is like a line of stone for me, I respect her every decision and stand by that decision.

He further added, “The decision of respected sister Ms. Mayawati ji to relieve me from all the posts of the party is personally emotional for me, but at the same time it is a big challenge now, the test is difficult and the fight is long.”
Referring himself as a true worker of the Bahujan Mission and the Bahujan Movement, Anand said “patience” and “determination” are the true companions of an individual in such difficult times. “I will continue to work with full devotion for the party and the mission and will fight for the rights of my society till my last breath,” he added.
Continuing further, Anand hit back at political rivals regarding their speculations about his political career after removing from the posts.

“Some people from the opposition party are thinking that my political career is over because of this decision of the party. They should understand that the Bahujan Movement is not a career but a fight for self-respect and self-esteem of crores of Dalits, exploited, deprived and poor people. This is an idea, a movement, which cannot be suppressed. Lakhs of Akash Anands are always ready to keep this torch burning and sacrifice everything for it,” he said in the post.
Last year, BSP chief has removed Anand as her political heir and party’s National Coordinator, saying “he is being separated from both these important responsibilities until he attains full maturity,” but later reinstated him.
