PM Modi Inaugurates YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25, New Extention Of Delhi Metro

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the extension of the Delhi Airport Metro Express to the new metro station “YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25” from Dwarka Sector 21. The new 2 km long line, which is also known as “Yashobhoomi line” will connect Dwarka Sector 21 and the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC). After the inauguration Mr. Modi took ride on Delhi Metro from Dhaula Kaun station to  YashoBhoomi Dwarka sector 25.  Passengers wished Mr. Modi Happy Birthday as today was his 73rd birthday and clicked selfies.

From today onwards, the Delhi Metro will also increase the operational speed on Express line to 120 km/h from 90 km/h. Now, the journey from New Delhi to YeshoBhoomi sector 25 will take 21 minutes. The passenger operations for the new extension will begin from 3 pm on Sunday.

PM Modi also inaugurated “YashoBhoomi”, which is said to be the “sought after destination for conferences and meetings” which will “draw delegates from all around the world”, as PM Modi shared on X (formerly twitter).

The YashoBhoomi centre is sprawled over the area of 73,000 square meters with 15 convention rooms including three main auditoriums 13 meeting rooms and a grand ballroom. The project which is hailed as the world”s largest Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) facility, also has “modern waste water treatment system, there are provisions for rainwater harvesting and the complex has recieved Platinum certification from the Indian Green Building Council”, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X.

PM Modi also inaugurated the PM Vishwakarma scheme, a Central Sector Scheme, with the financial outlay of Rs 13000 crore for the period of five years. Under the scheme, artisans and crafts people will be given recognition through PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card with support of Rs 1 lakh as first Tranche and 2 lakh as second Tranche.

The PM Vishwakarma scheme aims at nurturing the traditional skills by artisans and craftspeople working with their hands and tools and that the Vishwakarmas are with the global value chain.
