Vastu Expert Khushdeep Bansal along with his brother was arrested by Assam Police on Monday in connection with a massive fraud amounting to Rs. 65 crore. Khushdeep Bansal”s name hit headlines in 1997, when Vastu expert stated that the Parliament House library had “architectural defects”, expressing that to be the reason why governments fell.
Assam Police, along with the Special Cell – the Counter Intelligence Unit (CI) of the Delhi Police made the arrest of the two on Monday. The CI of the Special Cell executed the arrest in the Barakhamba area of the national capital, NDTV reports. By securing transit remand, Assam Police, after the arrest on Monday, hurriedly facilitated the accused”s transfer from Delhi to Assam, where they face charges. In the ongoing Autonomous Council scam amounting to Rs. 65 crore, the son of a Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh is also included.
Kamal Sabarwal, the owner of the Delhi-based Sabarwal Trading Company Private Limited has lodged a complaint against Khushdeep Bansal.
As per the NDTV reports, Khushdeep Bansal revealed to the Delhi Police that he had introduced an individual to Kamal Sabarwal, ultimately implicating himself in the fraud. Assam Police observed that all the accused associated in undertaking the massive scam has now come to the centre.
In 1997, Khushdeep Bansal caught attention for his notorious statement that the architectural defects of the Parliament House library were causing governmental instability. As per his opinion, the solution rely on his exptertise which involved placing copper wires underground between the Parliament and the library building, thereby “restoring balance” and allowing governments to complete their tenures without facing premature collapses, NDTV reports.
