The Delhi Police Crime branch officials has visited the residence of Delhi education minister Atishi on Sunday to deliver her notice in connection with allegation that the BJP was attempting to lure Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs. As per the reports, Atishi was not at home at the time of their visit but the Minister directed her office staff to receive the notice.
This move comes a day after crime branch officials gave a notice on Delhi chief minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday. They asked him to reply within three days in an inquiry into his claims that the BJP has attempted to poach seven AAP MLAs. Besides, the crime branch asked the AAP chief to reveal the names of AAP MLAs who were alleged to have been approached by the BJP.
On January 27, Arvind Kejriwal in his social media post alleged that the BJP has seven AAP MLAs and has offered Rs 25 crore in each so in order to quit the party and topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. Besides, it has been informed that they held talks with 21 MLAs, AAP leader added.

“This means that I am not being arrested to investigate any liquor scam but they are conspiring to topple the Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. In the last nine years, they hatched many conspiracies to topple our government. But they did not get any success. God and the people always supported us. All our MLAs are also strongly together. This time also these people will fail in their nefarious intentionsm,” AAP chief said in the post.
Similarly, on the same day, Minister Atishi accused that the saffron party has launched “Operation Lotus 2.0” in Delhi, where they are attempting to dismantle the democratically elected AAP government in Delhi.
In response to Arvind Kejriwal”s allegation, BJP wrote in X handle: “It is the political and mental bankruptcy of Kejriwal and AAP, who are deeply immersed in corruption, that the same script is repeated every time.” They added that these stories cannot escape the Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation.

Meanwhile, the federal agency approached Delhi Court against Arvind Kejriwal as he skipped the summons for the fifth time. This summons was in relation to the alleged money laundering case in connection with the Delhi excise policy.
