Danish Ali demands action against Nishikant Dubey amid row over communal remarks in Lok Sabha.

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader and Member of Parliament, Danish Ali on Sunday called for action against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey over the controversy surrounding the communal remarks in the Lok Sabha by another BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.

Mr Dubey condemned the comments made by his party colleague Mr Bidhuri, but also alleged Danish Ali that Mr Ali produced casteist insults against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And it was these comments that provoked Mr Bidhuri to react against the BSP leader, said Mr Dubey defending his colleague.

Kunwar Danish Ali is a BSP Member of Lok Sabha for Amroha in Uttar Pradesh since 2019. He joined Bahujan Samaj Party in March 2019 after leaving Janata Dal. Nishikant Dubey and Ramesh Bidhuri are also MP”s, both from the Bharatiya Janata Party, where the former represents the Godda constituency in Jharkhand since May 2009 and later represents the South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency.

Remarking several instances in which the Opposition leaders had made “unsavoury” comments in the parliament, MP Dubey had already written to the speaker on Saturday. In it, he demanded for an inquiry committee to investigate the comments made by the Opposition leaders during the discussion on Chandrayaan-3’s success.

Responding to the allegations made by the BJP leaders, Mr Ali on Sunday said to PTI that, the “BJP MP Nishikant Dubey”s letter (to Lok Sabha Speaker) is to create a narrative pertaining to my lynching outside the house as my verbal lynching already took place”.

“I request the Speaker that this should be inquired because this is one more matter of breach of privilege. I demand action be taken against Nishikant Dubey for what he has written…If what Nishikant Dubey is saying is true, there must be a video of the same…Is it true that all the BJP MPs were sitting and laughing there? This means that they did not come in support of the PM…They did my verbal lynching on the house…Now they are trying to lynch me outside”, said Mr Ali on Sunday.

“BJP”s crisis management group should have at least made proper allegations after sitting for 48 hours. Danish Ali has not stooped so low that he will make such comments about the Prime Minister…These allegations are baseless, I do not take them seriously because the training given in BJP-RSS is to tell a lie 100 times and make it look like the truth”, said Danish Ali to the news agency ANI.

“The words used by him are not acceptable. I was present in the Parliament when all this took place. BSP MP Danish Ali kept calling PM Modi “neech”. I have written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla requesting him to constitute an Inquiry Committee to investigate Danish Ali”s remark and the utterances made by various members during the discussion that day including the speeches of Saugata Roy and others”, responded Nishikant Dubey to ANI.

“We need to understand that people like Danish Ali and some leaders of Congress, DMK, and TMC are habitual offenders and they make derogatory comments to provoke BJP MPs”, Mr Dubey added.
