After hate speech against a Muslim member of the Indian Parliament by BJP MP from the ruling party went viral and invited criticism, another BJP member has now requested the Speaker of the lower house to investigate the victim. Godda MP Nishikant Dubey, however, condemned the remarks made by his fellow MP Ramesh Bidhuri but asked the Lok Sabha Speaker to investigate Danish Ali for his comments in Parliament while Mr. Bidhuri was speaking.
“No civilized society can accept the statement given by Ramesh Bidhuri ji in the Lok Sabha as correct, it needs to be condemned, but the Lok Sabha Speaker should also investigate the indecent words and conduct of MP Danish Ali. According to the rules and procedures of the Lok Sabha, interrupting an MP during the scheduled time, speaking while sitting, doing running commentary also comes under the ambit of punishment. I have been an MP for the last 15 years, I stay in the House for the longest time from the opening of the Lok Sabha till its closing. I never thought I would see such a day,” he wrote on X.

Mr Bidhuri”s comments, uttered during the Chandrayaan-3 Mission discussion in the Lok Sabha, were stricken from the record. Speaker Om Birla issued him a warning, but numerous MPs demanded his suspension, branding his statements as “hate speech.”
In the meantime, Danish Ali characterized the incident as “heartbreaking” and expressed that if no action were taken against Bidhuri for his derogatory remarks in the Lok Sabha, he might contemplate resigning from the House membership. “This amounts to nothing short of hate speech. It transpired right here on the House floor,” Ali remarked.
