Puja Khedkar Faked Her Identity To Get Into The Civil Services: UPSC

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has issued a press release about the investigation and action against Ms. Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar, a provisionally recommended candidate for the Civil Services Examination 2022. The UPSC conducted a detailed and thorough investigation into the misdemeanor of the civil servant trainee IAS officer.

UPSC said, “Through the investigation, it has been revealed that she fraudulently availed attempts beyond the permissible limit under the Examination rules by faking her identity by way of changing her name, her father and mother’s name, her photograph/signature, her email DI, mobile number and address”.

The UPSC also stated in the press release that a criminal prosecution has been initiated against Ms. Khedkar and an FIR has been filed with the Police. The release mentioned that a Show Cause Notice (SCN) for canceling her candidature for the Civil Services Examination 2022 and debarment from future examinations or selection has also been issued.

 

UPSC stated that it stringently adheres to its constitutional mandate and conducts all its processes with the highest possible order of the due diligence without any compromise. The commission has ensured the sanctity and integrity of the all the examination it conducts with utmost fairness and observance of Rules, it added.

Additionally, the commission said to earn the trust and credibility from the public and the candidates by remaining intact and uncompromised.
