UP Police Constable Result 2024; Cut-Off And Other Details

Candidates are awaiting the UP Constable recruitment exam result after the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board released the answer keys. The UP Police Constable Exam 2024 was held between August 23 to August 31, 2024. Once the result is announced, candidates can check it through the official website – upprpb.gov.in. The result is expected to be released anytime soon, however, no official date has been announced yet.

The answer key for the August 30 exam was released on September 14 and the objection window remained open till September 18 while for the August 31 exam date, the answer key was released on September 15, 2024, and the objection window remained open till September 19, 2024.

This was one of the largest recruitment drives held in the department as more than 48 lakh candidates appeared for the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2024 exam held in two shifts over five days.

The selection cut-off in the previous year’s exams varied depending on the categories. The total marks for the examination are 300. In 2019, for the general category candidates, the cut-off was 185.34, for OBC the cut-off was 172.32, for Schedule Caste – 145.39 and for Schedule Tribes – 114.19.

Comparatively in 2018, the cut-off remained higher than in 2019. For the general category candidates, the cut-off was 225 marks, for the OBC category – 216.74 marks, for SCs – 187.99 marks, and for STs, it was 153.31 marks. For female candidates, the cut-off remained at 199.5 marks.

The final cut-off marks depend on several factors including several candidates participating in the exam, the difficulty level of the examination, and the number of vacancies. This year the cut-off is expected to remain higher as a hugh number of candidates took the exam for over 60244 posts.

Notably, the examination was conducted initially in January however, the exam was cancelled due to the news of paper leak and was reconducted in August.
