Kerala Govt To Announce Rs 30 Lakh Compensation For Family Of Migrant Worker Lynched In Walayar
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: The Kerala government has reportedly decided to provide a compensation of Rs 30 lakh for the family of 31-year-old Ram Narayan Baghel, a migrant worker from Chhattisgarh who was allegedly lynched by a mob in Palakkad’s Walayar on suspicion of theft.
A cabinet meeting convened today, Wednesday, took the decision to approve the compensation amount, and the Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan is expected to make an official announcement later.

The victim, a mentally unstable Dalit worker, was beaten to death by a group of men accusing him of Bengladeshi national. The accused have been reportedly linked to BJP-RSS workers.
