Kerala Govt Sets Up Special Task Force To Probe Dowry Harassment, Domestic Violence Cases
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: The Kerala government has issued an order to set up a Special Task Force to investigate the dowry-related issues and domestic violence cases on Wednesday, July 8. The state has reportedly assigned the project to Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Intelligence.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has issued the order after reviewing recommendations submitted by the Department of Women and Child Development and the State Police Chief.

The government’s move is aimed at ensuring timely action and justice on such cases. The talk force will include representatives from the District Vigilance Committee, District Women Cell, Sakhi One Stop Centre, Legal Services Authority, the district office of the Department of Women and Child Development, and one woman representative.
