A massive search and rescue operations are progressing in Landslides hit areas in Kerala’s Wayanad. The landslides have affected Meppadi, Mundakkal Town and Chooramala areas in the district. A control room has been set up by State government ministries to provide immediate relief and helpline numbers have been issued for the emergency assistance.

- 3.The injured needs blood from O-ve, A-ve, B-ve,AB+ve, AB-ve groups according to volunteers and health officials. Those who are wishing to donate don’t need to reach Wayanad, but they may do it from the nearest health centre, officials said in a latest update.
- 4. On a Facebook post, Kerala Police advised public not to visit disaster areas for sightseeing; it would impede rescue operations.
5. Kozhikode District Collector updated the list of immediate requirements of essentials and requested to bring the necessities to the collection centers of the collectorate itself.
