“There are some parties which are trying to divide the country and society. They have formed an INDIA Alliance. Some people call them “arrogant alliance”,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a public programme in Madhya Pradesh.
This is the first time PM Modi is using the term “Ghamandiya” (arrogant) Alliance for describing the Opposition grouping that has been formed to taken on the NDA for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, PM Modi”s cabinet ministers including Anurag Thakur and Pralhad Joshi had used this term to describe the Opposition alliance consisted of more than 25 parties.
PM Modi was laying foundation stone of Petrochemical Complex and other developmental works at Bina, Madhya Pradesh.
PM Modi, later in his speech said this “”ghamandiya” alliance has resolved to finish the Sanatana culture and traditions.”
Responding to PM Modi”s comments the Congress, the main constituent of the alliance, said the PM is back to doing what he does best—insult.
“He repeated his abuse of INDIA parties as so-called Ghamandia parties. Look, who’s talking! The man who uses the occasion of a govt function to abuse the Opposition. Stooping to his level, one could easily say he heads the GA-NDA coalition—Gautam Adani’s NDA,” senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said in an X post.
