Anoop Balmiki, the BJP candidate from Hathras, is leading the election with 552,281 votes, surpassing his nearest rival by a significant margin of 245,768 votes. Jasveer Valmiki of the Samajwadi Party (SP) has secured the second position with 306,513 votes, while the BSP’s Hembaboo Dhangar trails in third with 200,774 votes.
Anoop Pradhan Balmiki, BJP candidate from the constituency replaced the late sitting MP, Rajvir Diler, who passed away in April 2024. Currently, he is MLA from the Khair constituency in Aligarh district and the incumbent Revenue minister of Uttar Pradesh.
Jasveer Singh, SP candidate from the constituency is one of the prominent figures of the party.
Hathras is a SC reserved seat from Uttar Pradesh which is known for its significant Muslim and Jat population. Recently, the BJP have strengthened grip in the constituency.
In the 2014 election, BJPs Rajesh Kumar Diwakar emerged victorious with 544,277 votes while BSPs Manoj Kumar Soni, secured 217,891 votes and came second. However, in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, the Hathras constituency witnessed a fierce competition between SPs candidate Ramji Lal Suman and BJPs Rajvir Diler. Diler won the seat garnering 684,299 votes while Lal Suman, secured second place with 424,091 votes.
