What Happened To Mohammed Zubair’s X Account?

Alt News co-founder and fact checker Mohammad Zubair’s social media account in X is reportedly under the scanner by government authorities. Journalist Abhishek with Alt News shared a screenshot of an email sent by the social media platform informing Zubair of a legal proceeding regarding his account.

The email sent by X, formerly known as Twitter, stated that the legal process obligated the platform to produce information related to the journalist’s account.

Sharing a photo of the email, Abhishek tweeted, “Government authorities had asked @X for the account details of @zoo_bear. Since then, despite having a @premium subscription, his account’s reach and verified blue tick has gone.”

A netizen replied, “I haven’t seen his tweets on my Timeline for 2-3 weeks now. The only way is to check on his profile and then share tweets.”

Another netizen echoed, “That’s what surprised me coz I’m unable to see his posts lately and was wondering what happened. His post always show up. Now I understand what happened . Really @X”

The Kottai Ameer Communal Award winner was recently targeted by extreme right-wing handles who called for notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang to ‘handle’ or kill Zubair and called him a terrorist.
