Instagram influencer Dr Cyriac Abby Philips known as Liver Doctor commented on the health information provided by the actress on his X account. Appreciating the way the Indian actress has given the advice he wrote, “If celebrities want to provide health information on supplements to the public and their non-medical followers, the least they should do, is to do it the way she does. Aiswarya Lekshmi is an actress and a doctor (MBBS) from Kerala, who gives general, in-good faith information on both sides about collagen use for “skin health.”
He also highlighted that the actress has clearly mentioned in her post that there is no relevant research to prove her claims and it was a personal anecdote. “She also provides insight into other factors – sleep hygiene, diet and environmental stressors that can impact skin health – this is wholesome discussion. She does not endorse a particular brand and advices people to research brands on their own. She cites her source of anecdotal information asDermatologists (not chiropractors or wellness frauds). This is a better way to communicate health information,” he added.
The doctor further gave out some tips and information regarding the use of collagen. In his long post, Dr Cyriac also mentioned the advantages and disadvantages of the intake of collagen.

He concluded by advising the social media users to take tips that are not endangering their health and not to blindly follow the tips shared by celebrities, “These type of videos from celebrities (like from Dr. Aiswarya Lekshmi) are never absolutely endangering like videos from other celebrities (like Ms. Samantha Ruth) that advices public to avoid medications and inhale nebulized hydrogen peroxide. Maybe celebrities who are health and science-illiterates can ask others who are not before they post absolute public health endangering rubbish on their instagram handles. Fair enough? Hope not “rude tone.”
