The latest released trailer of Dune: Prophecy has thrilled the Indian audience with its surprise introduction of Indian actress Tabu into the universe of Dune.

The second teaser of the Dune: Prophecy offers a glimpse of the character of Tabu in the universe of Dune. The teaser introduces her character as Sister Francesca whose arrival is expected to imbalance the power dynamics in the capital.

Ever since the unveiling of the teaser, social media has been flooded with images of Tabu’s appearance in the trailer, expressing their hearty wishes.  The teaser offers the viewers a journey of 10,000 years in time. Based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, the series unravels the origins of the enigmatic Bene Gesserit order.

The core story revolves around the Harkonnen Sisters, played by Emily Watson and Olivia Williams. The women are on the edge of wading through the political waters and combat forces threatening humanity’s existence. Along the way, they lay the foundation for the Bene Gesserit, a mystical sect that will shape the universe’s fate for millennia.

While in 2019, the show was originally called Dune: The Sisterhood, the show underwent various changes in terms of writers and actors before it finally became Dune: Prophecy. The story is inspired by the gripping novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Kevin J. Anderson and Brian Herbert, son of Frank Herbert (the original author of the Dune novels).
