Madrasa Students Beaten Up And Forced To Chant 'Jai Shri Ram' In Bihar

In another strand of student harassment by right-wing extremists, a video is circulating on social media, where a group of Madrasa students can be seen beaten up and forced to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’. The visuals are reportedly from Barahat, Banka district in Bihar.

In the video, the Madrasa students could be seen assaulted physically and threatened with being beaten up if not chant the slogans. Out of fear, the Muslim Madrasa students chanted ‘Jai Shree Ram’, and their video was made.

People are condemning the visuals viral on social media and have been demanding the Bihar police intervention in the matter.

The incidents of assaults have been increasing and being reproted fequently. Recently, an incident was reproted from Ghaziabad’s Crossing Republik where a Urdu teacher, who used to give private tution in the society was allegedly abused and heckled by a resident and forced to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

In another incident which took place in Chandrapur area of Silchar, Assam, four boys have been detained for assaulting a class 8 student for refusing to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Reportedly, the boy was on his way back to home from school where he was grabbed by the ear and made to sit and then force to chant slongs.
