Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated his 850th career goal during Al Nassr’s emphatic 5-1 victory against Al Hazm in the Saudi Pro league on Saturday. With this, the Portuguese player has added one more milestone in his career.
Ronaldo scored his sixth goal in his last three games and claimed two assists as Al Nassr recorded a third straight league victory.
“Another great team performance! We keep improving. Let’s go @AlNassrFC.. 850 career goals and still counting!” the 38-year-old Ronaldo posted on social media.
Unlike last season, Al Nassr has managed to win Arab Club Champions league defeating Al Hilal in extra time, and qualified for the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League. While in the previous season, Ronaldo after scoring plenty of goals, he was unable to win the trophy for the club.
Al Nassr initially faced a setback with two losses in the opening matches of the season but later staggered to score 14 goals in their last three matches.
Ronaldo has created yet another career defining moment in the last match as his lead extended over one of his fiercest rival, Lionel Messi by 34 goals. The Argentine superstar had made a move to Major League Soccer side Inter Miami earlier this year, and had an electrifying start to his career in the United States, scoring in nine-successive matches.
