Once again, India smashed Pakistan in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium by seven wickets. The power-packed match has come to an end with the visitors losing to an emphatic performance by both batters and bowlers of Team India.
Once again, Pakistan had to return from the pitch with no victory against India. Ever since 1992, they have not beaten India in 50 over format.
Though Pakistan settled their opening matches with two wins in the ongoing ICC World Cup, they tasted their first loss against their archenemy, making it even more bitter.
Rohit Sharma picked up India and flied off to their next victory. The biggest clash of the tournament came to an end with the host easily winning the match in 31 overs. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav triggered a stunning Pakistan collapse and shared four wickets in India”s dominant victory over their archrivals at the 2023 World cup match. Apart from Kuldeep and Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Siraj and Jadeja all got two wickets each.
Shreyas Iyer gave the finishing touches with an unbeaten fifty as India raced to its third victory, while Rohit Sharma scored 86 runs off 63 balls which included six fours and six sixes. After this match, India now leads the table with six points, ahead of New Zealand after three straight wins. Pakistan after first loss of the tournament have four points and stands fourth in the points table.
On October 19, India will face Bangladesh in Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium at Pune.
