After sealing a 3-0 win by Real Madrid against Cadiz, aiming the top spot in La Liga, Jude Bellingham broke Cristiano Ronaldo record for most goals in the first 15 games for Los Blancos. The 20-year-old had to wait until 74th minute to make his historical move.
The record was previously jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo, Alfredo Di Stefano, and Prudan, who managed 13 goals in that span. With his goal against Cadiz, he has become the only player for the club to score more than 13 goals in their first 15 matches.
Commenting on his remarkable performance, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said, “We”ve done very well so far. The team has competed and always fought hard. We”ve won a lot of games. It”s an important time of the season because we”ve got important games in the league in the run up to Christmas and we also want to finish top of the Champions League group.”
Jude Bellingham, the poster boy of the Real Madrid, after making his 103 million euros move to Spain, has now emerged as the face of the club like Cristiano Ronaldo. He has already achieved something Ronaldo never did by winning the Golden Boy award earlier this month. The former player has helped the club to reach the top of the standings.
Despite in the absence of key players, including Vinicius Jr, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Kepa Arrizabalaga, Real Madrid won convincingly. The team went above Girona, as Rodrygo scored twice and assisted Bellingham’s goal for Los Blancos.
Real Madrid is at its top position in the league table with 35 points in 14 matches, packed with 11 wins, two draws and a defeat. Girona who’s currently in the second position may retain the top spot, if manages to win the match against Athletic Club on Tuesday.
