‘Only A Madman Would Leave Real Madrid’: Jose Mourinho Former Los Blancos Manager

Former Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho in an interview with an Italian TV channel TG2  spoke about the recent circulating rumor that he will replace Carlo Ancelotti at the Santiago Bernabeu.

When asked about it in the interview, Mourinho said, “Could I go to Real Madrid? When you have a super coach in Ancelotti, why would you think about anyone else?” He hailed Carlo Ancelotti as the perfect coach for the Madridistas. The club’s era with Ancelotti is drawing to an end and hence the club has begun its search for a new successor. And thus, Mourinho’s name has emerged who is currently managing Roma. The corridors of Santiago Bernabeu is not unfamiliar to the Portuguese tactician as he had previously managed them for three seasons.

Meanwhile the rumour came in, as Mourino’s contract in Italy is set to expire next summer which aligns with Ancelotti’s expected departure. And this coincidence was widely taken expecting the grand return of the former inter manager to the Spanish capital.

However, Mourinho dismissed all the speculations regarding his return and said that he is fully committed to Roma. But when quizzed about the decision of Ancelotti to coach Brazil, he made it clear that leaving Real Madrid is a mistake, reports managing madrid.

“I think only a madman would leave Real Madrid when he is still wanted. And that madman was me, the only one who after three years with a President who still wanted me, and Jose Sanchez too, I decided to leave,” he said.

Carlo Ancelotti’s journey with the Real Madrid’s will be engraved in the history of Santiago Bernabeu. He coached for five seasons across his two tenures. As per the Managing Madrid, the Madrid is trying for a two-year contract extension with Ancelotti. As the discussions are being continued, his anticipated move to coach the Brazilian men national team hangs in the balance. The decision will be made at the end of the current season.
