Following a momentous football dominance of 4-0 over Fluminense, Manchester City wraps up  their fifth trophy of the year in the Club World Cup Finale happened on December 22. The team is bathing in the glory of their impressive silverware haul of the year added with being the first English team to hold Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup titles.

The master behind the team’s success, their coach Pep Guardiola expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishments. He said, “I am so proud of this Club. What we have done is an outstanding achievement”. He also added that to win the FIFA Club World Cup trophy “is to be the best team in the world”.

The final match was marked by Julian Alvarez ensuring the opposition never gained momentum by his exceptional performance that garnered two scores for the team. Though Rodri’s knee injury posed a little blemish to the celebratory atmosphere, the team carved out their jubilant victory.

The Manchester City has created waves earlier this year by bringing off treble with their win against Inter Milan in the Final of Champions League. The following victories of Super Cup and now the Club World Cup shows the team’s charged pursuit of excellence. Mr. Guardiola said while winning the treble was special, to win two more trophies and hold five major titles in a year “shows the unique mentality of this team”. He also stated that City’s victory is “something no other English team has ever achieved”.

The team’s captain, Kyle Walker remarked about his team’s victory as “we have shown over the past 12 months we are the best team in the world. our results prove that and the consistency we have managed has been amazing”.
