Team India vice-captain Hardik Pandya received a rousing welcome in his hometown Vadodara on return from Mumbai after the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados.

A large rally was organized in his welcome as crowds from all over the city gathered for the procession. The Team India all-rounder greeted the crowd in the national team jersey carrying the Indian tri-colour in his hand with advertisement boards set-up for his welcome. He was accompanied by his elder brother Krunal Pandya, who was not a part of the T20 World Cup 2024 squad, in the open-top bus rally.

“All my heart ♥️. Thank you 🙏❤️,” the Indian all-rounder captioned the videos.

Earlier, Pandya was a part of the open-top bus parade from the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Nariman Point to the iconic Wankhede Stadium. He was a major contributor in Team India’s T20 World Cup 2024 with 144 runs and 11 wickets to his name.

“India, you mean the world to me! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all the love.. these are moments that I will never ever forget! Thank you for coming out to celebrate with us, despite the rains! We love you so much! Celebrating with you is why we do what we do! We’re all champions! All 1.4 billion of us! Thank you Mumbai, thank you India 🇮🇳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🥹,” Pandya said after the Mumbai parade.

Following the T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, the all-rounder rose to the World No.1 ranking momentarily, becoming the first Indian to reach the milestone in the format. He picked up the prized wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller in the final.
